Hello Split - Tuesday 5th October

Today we left Dubrovnik in the morning and caught a bus to Split. The bus ride took 4 hours to get from Dubrovnik to Split. It was very boring.







When we arrived in Split, we checked into our apartment and then went for a little walk to the wharf, where we took a walking tour of Diocletian's palace.






Diocletian's palace was built by a roman emperor as a retirement home for himself. Today it has shops, restaurants and apartments within the old walls.






At the far end of the palace is a sculpture of Gregory, a wizard like person with a big golden toe. If you rub the toe and make a wish, then it gives you luck.






On our walking tour of the palace, our guide told us all about the history of the palace. We walked all around the grounds and looked at all the sights.



















At the end of the tour, we went to get some Pizza for dinner. We walked around by where all the clothes and accessory shops were. After we finished our pizzas, and a hot dog in Sajan's case, we walked back to our apartment.
