Hello Rome- Thursday 13th October

Today we took the Cicumvisuvius train to Naples train station. We went past Mt Vesuvius and the Pompeii stop but unfortunately we didn't have time to get off.










When we got to Naples train station, which was quite new, we went to Mc'Ds to have some lunch before we caught our train to Rome. We arrived in Rome at 2pm and we caught a taxi to our hotel. We relaxed at the hotel then decided to go to the Colosseum.

The Colosseum was AWESOME. We went on a guided tour with lots of other tourists. We learnt lots of new things about the Colosseum. My highlight of the Colosseum was it's architecture and how it was built nearly 2000 years ago. It even had a retractable roof. The Colosseum was used for mock sea battles, gladiator events, executions, gladiators fighting animals and much much more. We also visited the roman forum and the palatine hill which was pretty cool. Mum fell in love with the Colosseum cause it was so beautiful.
