Leicester- Friday 23rd September

In the morning, we went to Lilywhites by Piccadilly Circus, a six leveled sports store. It was humungous, with a big variety of sportswear and equipment. Sajan got a boys All Blacks playing top for £35, which is cheaper than in New Zealand - bargain!!! Thanks for the pounds family!!! We left the shop with a bulging shopping bag (mostly for Sajan).

In the afternoon, we missed our 3:15 train to Leicester, but luckily there was another one at 3:55 pm. We arrived in Leicester at 5pm, where we were picked up by Natu Fua, who took us to Champa Fois house (Dads first cousin). After we settled in, we walked down to Manju Fois house (Champa Fois sister) to Visit. All the houses in Leicester were made of bricks, and it reminded us of Coronation street. There are lots of Indian, Muslim and Sikhs living there. It is very multicultural.

  1. Hi Strathmore Patels

Its great that you have visited the 'Centre of Gujaratis' in England! Leicester is the buzz for Indian food, clothes and culture.

As most of your blogs centres around food, my suggestion is that you guys need to try pukka pie, mushy peas and battered haddock fish from a 'good' fish-n-chip shop before you leave England!

Safe travels and keep on blogging Alisha and Sajan :-)

    Regards
    Ashvin
